Announcement
In an effort to help those affected by Hurricane Katrina, the African Studies Center at the University of Pennsylvania would like to open its doors to a
displaced scholar.

We can provide :  an office with phone,computer, etc.; affiliation with the African Studies Center, Penn Visiting scholar status including library
priviledges, and the opportunity to participate in our Fall lecture series (with a modest honorarium of $500).

Help for Scholars displaced by hurricanes

The Alice Berline Kaplan Center for the Humanities at Northwestern  University invites humanities scholars displaced by
hurricanes Katrina  and Rita to apply for short-term fellowships, effective immediately.  We are located in Evanston, Illinois, just north of Chicago
and can offer an office with a computer, visiting scholar status, and possibly a housing stipend.  Please send a letter of application and CV (or
short vita with list of significant publications) to:
