Membership Benefits

ASA Members receive the following benefits:

• A subscription to the African Studies Review, a multi-disciplinary scholarly journal, which publishes original research and analyses of Africa and book reviews three times annually (April, September, and December)
• A discounted registration fee to attend the ASA Annual Meeting
• Full access to the myASA online system, including the electronic member directory and electronic communities and discussion boards for networking with other ASA members

In addition, ASA members may participate in the following ASA-related activities:

• Vote to elect officers and members of the Board of Directors
• Serve on ASA Committees
• Nominate individuals for the Distinguished Africanist Award
