The ASA is currently a member of three organizations:
American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS)
National Council of Area Studies Associations (NCASA)
National Humanities Alliance (NHA)

The ASA is an associate member of the Association of African Studies Programs (AASP) and the Coalition for International Education.
