The ASA has a role to play in nurturing the next generation of scholars on Africa.
Professor Tade Aina, Program Director of Higher Education in Africa, Carnegie Corporation of New York, spoke to an ASA staff member in Nairobi after hosting a convening of Carnegie grantees to discuss issues related to policy, leadership and governance in African academic institutions.

During the recorded interview, Professor Aina shared his thoughts on actions the ASA as an organization can take for more impactful engagement on the African continent. He urged the ASA to place greater focus and resources on building strategic and equal partnerships with African higher education institutions, and with African scholars in general.
